Meet the Artist
Founded by kiln-glass artist Arrianne Jane Bright, aJane Glass Studio & Gallery reflects over two decades of professional experience, artistic excellence, and heartfelt teaching. Arrianne has worked in glass for more than 23 years, including 13 years with Bullseye Glass—one of the world’s leading manufacturers of art glass—where she received advanced training and collaborated with international artists.
She brings deep technical knowledge, industry experience, and a genuine love of teaching into every class. Known for her authentic, enthusiastic approach, Arrianne leads with energy, clarity, humor, and heart—helping students feel supported, confident, and excited to create. Her artwork is inspired by the natural chemistry of glass, revealing organic textures, movement, and light through thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship. That same level of care, skill, and creativity is woven into every class and studio experience, creating an atmosphere where learning feels natural and creativity thrives.
What Is Kiln-Formed (Kiln) Glass?
Kiln-formed glass—also called kiln glass or fused glass—is created by heating layers of glass in a special kiln until they melt and bond together.
Artists can shape, fuse, slump, and mold glass into plates, panels, windows, ornaments, and sculptures. It’s a versatile and approachable art form that allows beginners and professionals alike to create stunning work.
What Is Coldworking?
Coldworking is the process of refining glass after it comes out of the kiln. Using tools such as grinders, sanders, and polishers, the artist shapes and smooths the edges and surfaces of each piece. This step reveals texture, improves durability, and gives finished artwork its refined, professional look. Every finished piece at aJane Glass Studio is carefully coldworked for beauty and quality.
